Certain activities are permitted outside of the regular park hours (e.g. fishing, boat launch, hunting where permitted). Please check with the park before your visit if you plan to engage in an activity which requires you to be in the park before or after the posted hours.
Pets are allowed in Morgan Run NEA.
Located in Carroll County, the Morgan Run N.E.A. is comprised of approximately 1400 acres of natural area. Hiking and equestrian trails are popular. Equestrians are restricted to specific trails. The Morgan Run is available to trout fisherman as a catch and release trout stream.

Permits maybe picked up at Park Headquarters (8020 Baltimore National Pike Ellicott City MD 20143) from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except state holidays STARTING August 31. Please bring the following when getting your permit:
Equestrian and hiking trails, catch and release trout fishing, bow and muzzleloader hunting for deer. The Maryland Park Service does not rent horses, and only provides the trails as a means of recreation.
