Junior Rangers is a fun way for youth ages 7-14 to connect to the natural world around them. Each session of the program includes recreational opportunities and hands-on environmental education activities like hiking, games, crafts, and more!

During this summer program, Junior Rangers explore the parks natural and historical areas, learn stewardship, and explore recreational opportunities. Throughout the year, Rangers and naturalists lead children and teens, ages 7- 14 years, through the fundamentals of environmental education and stewardship.

Several Maryland State Parks also sponsor Park Pals and Sprouts programs for younger children. Check out Junior Ranger, Park Pals and Sprouts programs for 2014. Families should contact each state park separately for registration information and details.
